France Dominates England in the Six Nations
Ollivon's Double Secures Victory at Twickenham
England Suffers Heaviest Home Defeat
London, March 11, 2023: France delivered a crushing blow to England at Twickenham on Saturday, securing a dominant victory in the Six Nations Championship. French captain Charles Ollivon led the charge, scoring a brace of tries as France condemned England to their heaviest home defeat in Six Nations history.
After a tentative start, France took control of the match in the first half. Romain Ntamack opened the scoring with a penalty, before Ollivon crossed for his first try following a driving maul. Anthony Jelonch extended France's lead with a try of his own, capitalizing on an England error.
England struggled to gain momentum and made numerous unforced errors. France continued to dominate in the second half, with Ollivon completing his brace and Teddy Thomas adding a fourth try. England managed a consolation try through Ollie Lawrence, but it was not enough to prevent a humiliating defeat.
The result leaves France with a perfect record after two games, while England has now lost both their opening matches. The victory also marks France's first triumph at Twickenham since 2007.
