Bayer Leverkusen Vs Roma Highlights

h1> Roma Crash Out of Europa League Bayern Leverkusen Progresses h2> Roma loses 2-2 draw against Bayer Leverkusen h3> Bayer Leverkusen to face Rangers in the finals

AS Roma's hopes of winning their first major European trophy in over a decade were dashed on Thursday night as they were knocked out of the UEFA Europa League by Bayer Leverkusen. The Giallorossi lost the second leg of their semi-final clash 2-2 at the Stadio Olimpico, giving the German side a 4-2 aggregate victory.

Roma had taken an early lead through Lorenzo Pellegrini, but Leverkusen hit back with two goals from Moussa Diaby and a penalty from Patrik Schick. Edin Dzeko pulled one back for Roma late on, but it was not enough to prevent them from crashing out of the competition.

The defeat was a major disappointment for Roma, who had been hoping to reach their first European final since 1991. They had been in impressive form in the Europa League this season, winning all six of their group games and then beating Shakhtar Donetsk and Ajax in the knockout rounds.

However, they came up against a Leverkusen side who were simply too strong on the night. The German side were well-organized and clinical in attack, and they deservedly progressed to the final. They will now face Rangers in the final in Seville on May 18.
