David Hollenbach SJ is the Pedro Arrupe Distinguished Research Professor in the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. He is a world-renowned theologian and ethicist, renowned for his work on nuclear disarmament, peacebuilding, and social justice. He also served as the president of the Catholic Theological Society of America from 2006 to 2007.

Hollenbach's research focuses on the relationship between religion and violence, nuclear disarmament, energy ethics, and climate ethics. He has written and edited numerous books and articles on these topics, including: The Imperative of Peace: A Moral and Religious Duty (2015), Disarmament: A Catholic Perspective (2012), and Energy Ethics: A Christian Perspective (2010).
